Photo above: Sue Schmieden with "In Honor of Mother". A Baltimore Beauty quilt was hand appliquéd by Sue's Mom, Earlene Olsen. It was custom quilted on an APQS longarm by Sue. Earlene dedicated this quilt to her mom, Barbara Carmin. Barbara's personality "where there's a will there's a way" has been passed on to the generations. She was a hard working, loving person and is missed dearly.

In 1999, I purchased my first longarm quilting machine and opened The Quilting Connection, LLC in Elkhorn, WI. The shop has grown into a full service longarm quilting studio thanks to the support of our customers and friends, the APQS and Handi Quilter families and the help of Earlene, Angie, Kathy and Jodi. We are an Authorized APQS and Handi Quilter Dealer offering professional longarm machine sales, service and training workshops. We also offer the longarm quilting supplies you will need including the Quick Zip System™, pre-printed wholecloths, patterns, wholesale batting for businesses and a wide variety of tools, books and fun gadgets specifically for the longarm quilter. If you have a quilt top to finish and do not own a machine, longarm quilting services and longarm machine rentals are available in our studio. We can finish it for you or you may quilt your own by renting time on our machines! Due to our travel schedules, we are open by appointment. If you would like to visit our studio, please phone ahead and let us know that you will be coming. We would love to meet you!
