Laurastar-more than an iron! APQS-more longarm options!

Laurastar-more than an iron! APQS-more longarm options!

19th Jan 2024

Welcome back everyone!

What a couple of weeks it’s been in Wisconsin! If you live anywhere near us, you know winter finally arrived with a vengeance … multiple snowstorms within a week followed by below-zero temperatures! Instant cabin fever!

If you live in the Appleton area, can I coax you into the shop on Thursday, January 25th? We’d love to have you visit us for a special Laurastar Demo Day.

Our territory representative, Emily, will join us at 1PM. She’ll provide a refresher on everything the Laurastar steam generators and ironing systems can do. And because Emily is with us in person, we’ll be able to offer some exclusive savings to you!

The Laurastar Difference!

Since we first began selling the Laurastar ironing systems and 3-in-1 steam generators last August, we’ve been able to experience the benefits of these amazing systems firsthand.

One of the benefits of the Laurastar Lift system that we’ve been able to take advantage of in the shop is using it to steam away heavy creases in batting and fabric right at the longarm frames.

Want to see this in action? Go to Angie’s Answers and watch Laurastar Lift Extra Steam Generator Iron. Get rid of wrinkles at your Longarm Quilting Machine. Amazing!

And with winter here, I want to remind you of another major benefit of the Laurastar Lift. You can quickly and easily disinfect fabrics, surfaces and objects throughout your home!

Laurastar’s Dry Microfine Steam (DMS) eliminates 99.9% of bacteria and viruses plus 100% of dust mites. Just run your iron lightly over furniture, bedding or window coverings and steam away potential problems! Beat the increased risk of winter colds and other infections!

So, please join us in Appleton on January 25th at 1PM.

See our website for more details on all the Laurastar ironing systems and steam generators!

And Now – Introducing …

A few weeks ago, I shared with you that The Quilting Connection is now selling and servicing APQS quilting machines in addition to our tried-and-true Handi Quilter longarms.

This week, I’m going to share details on the smallest of the APQS machines.

Meet Lenni

When APQS designed Lenni, they’ve transferred the know-how of their bigger machines to a more compact size. The result? A fun and affordable longarm!

Lenni has a 22-inch throat space. Standard features include multi-position front and rear handles, stitch regulation, LED lighting with black light, a laser light stylus, an L-size bobbin, and a bobbin winder. Optional features include the Quilt Path™ computerized quilting system and an M-size bobbin. See our website for more details on Lenni.

Lenni sits on the 8-foot, 10-foot or 12-foot Standard Bliss Table. An optional hydraulic table lift is also available.

APQS tables do not have junction points in the rails and Lenni comes standard with the exclusive Bliss Track System, a system of horizontal wheels on the machine head and roller bearings on the table rails. These features provide smooth, effortless machine movement.

Meet Larry

Larry is APQS in its simplest, smallest and most economical form.

This machine has an 18-inch throat space. Standard features include independently adjustable front handles featuring tilting hand grips, stitch regulation, LED lighting with black light, a laser stylus, an L-size bobbin, and a bobbin winder. Optional features include the Quilt Path™ computerized quilting system, a pantograph kit and an M-size bobbin. See our website for more details on Larry.

Larry sits on the 8-foot or 10-foot Standard Table. An upgrade to a 12-foot Standard Table is available. Optional features also include the Bliss Track System and the hydraulic table lift.

Meet Ellie

The newest member of the APQS family, Ellie, isn’t even listed on their website yet! But we have her set up in our Appleton location for you to test drive!

Ellie has an 18-inch throat space and shares the same features as Larry.

But Ellie sits on a halo (hoop style) frame for quilters who don’t have the floor space to accommodate a full frame. The halo frame is only 5-foot, 6-inches by 3-foot, 4-inches.

So, what do you think? That’s a brief introduction to the three smallest APQS machines. In my next post I’ll share some details on Lucey, Freddie, Millie and Millie 30.

In addition to Ellie, we have Millie 30 setup and running in Appleton.

We also have a Lenni setup in Elkhorn

Please come in and try these machines!

Our Handi Quilter machines are available to you as well.
